Pacific Landing emerged from the pressing need for affordable housing tailored to individuals with disabilities and limited incomes in Santa Monica. The concept evolved through extensive collaboration between the Community Corp of Santa Monica, local non-profit developers. Initial discussions focused on addressing the lack of accessible housing options and the desire to create a sustainable, inclusive community.

The concept development involved analyzing various factors such as site location, demographic needs, and sustainability goals. Community input played a crucial role in shaping the project, with stakeholders providing valuable insights into the design features and amenities needed to support residents' well-being.

Pacific Landing's design harmonizes with its surrounding landscape and urban context, enhancing the area's vibrancy while addressing community needs. Situated on Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica, the project replaces a former gas station, transforming a contaminated corner lot into a sustainable, mixed-use development.

The project's architecture and site layout respond sensitively to the local landscape, incorporating green spaces, an interior courtyard, and a rooftop terrace. These features provide residents with opportunities for recreation and relaxation while fostering a sense of connection to nature. Its proximity to the beach and downtown area enhances accessibility to recreational and cultural attractions, enriching residents' quality of life.

Pacific Landing has garnered several certifications and awards, including California and National AIA awards, in recognition of its sustainability initiatives. These include LEED Platinum certification for its energy-efficient design and achievement of Net Zero energy usage. The project prioritizes sustainability and eco-compatibility, integrating various strategies, materials, and technologies to minimize environmental impact and promote energy efficiency. The project integrates passive features like natural ventilation, daylighting, along with active strategies such as solar panels and high-efficiency HVAC systems. Eco-friendly, locally sourced materials, including recycled content and low-emission finishes, are prioritized to minimize environmental impact and promote energy efficiency.

Pacific Landing epitomizes sustainable, inclusive design, reshaping the landscape of affordable housing in Santa Monica. Located on Lincoln Boulevard, this mixed-use development is a testament to innovation and community-centric principles. Its strengths lie in its unwavering commitment to sustainability, achieving LEED Platinum certification and Net Zero energy status through the seamless integration of passive and active sustainable strategies. Designed for individuals with disabilities and limited incomes, Pacific Landing fosters an inclusive community with thirty-seven affordable residences, promoting social equity and accessibility.

Inspired by iconic home imagery, the building's design blends traditional elements with contemporary flair, creating a visually striking facade characterized by dynamic massing and thoughtful layout. Amenities such as an interior courtyard, rooftop terrace, and communal spaces enrich residents' lives, while on-site services and a cafe enhance their quality of life. Situated within proximity to downtown Santa Monica and the beach,

Pacific Landing contributes to the neighborhood's revitalization, serving as a beacon of sustainable, community-oriented architecture. Its recognition, including LEED Platinum certification and Net Zero energy status, underscores its excellence and leadership in sustainable design, cementing its status as a model for future developments.

We are incredibly proud of Pacific Landing and what it represents for our community. This project has exceeded our expectations in every way, from its innovative design to its commitment to sustainability. It's more than just a building; it's a symbol of inclusion and progress, providing affordable housing for those who need it most. The impact it has already had on our residents' lives is immeasurable, and we look forward to seeing it continue to thrive and inspire others in the years to come.
