LVMH Beauty Italia: an open system that prioritizes relationships

Il Prisma

Il Prisma

Inspired by LVMH Beauty Italia’s decision to transition from individual, non-communicating offices to a more flexible and inclusive model, the new concept abandons closed spaces in favor of an open system that prioritizes relationships, sharing and exchanges. The goal of the new HQ was to create a space that instills a sense of pride and belonging in employees, both to the brands they work for and to the Group as a whole. Il Prisma responded to this challenge by creating a workplace that immerses employees in a creative and emotional environment. Each Maison retains its distinct identity and expression, while simultaneously being united around shared values.

The new LVMH Beauty Italia HQ, situated inside the Symbiosis complex in Porta Romana, harmonizes with its urban surroundings by embracing the area's creative and evolving nature. The new HQ’s design and themed gardens—including the Sensorial, Biodiversity, Secret, Event, and Working gardens—offer various possibilities for psychophysical regeneration. These elements align with the spirit of the surrounding landscape by promoting flexibility, inclusivity, and open spaces. This integration will be further enhanced by the upcoming regeneration of the Porta Romana railway yard, which will boost sustainability and connectivity, aligning the HQ with the broader urban landscape's growth and innovation.

The construction site adhered to sustainable management guidelines, focusing on air quality control, recycling over 70% of waste, and providing additional services for workers such as drinking water. Moreover, Il Prisma implemented the "Social Construction Site" initiative, collaborating with local associations and cooperatives to promote a community project aimed at fostering virtuous behavior. Specifically, Il Prisma revitalized an urban park on Via Coari by organizing workshops for local children, teenagers, and families.

Inspired by Nature
Spaces are divided into large common areas fostering the Group’s culture and environments dedicated to individual Maisons. Nature-inspired elements start at the Welcome area, reflecting LVMH’s identity and greeting visitors with an elegant atmosphere. Curved shapes, shadow plays, and transparencies enhance continuity with the terrace, creating a visual connection between indoors and outdoors. Dynamic lighting changes throughout the day and seasons. Open spaces, training areas, customized RGB LED light portals for each Maison, phone booths, meeting rooms, and concentration spaces support diverse work methods. Informal collaboration zones, meditation and concentration spaces are thoughtfully integrated.

The Terrace for Biodiversity
High standards of comfort, health and safety certifications, and biodiversity’s beauty are focal points. The HQ boasts a garden terrace of nearly 2,000 sq.m, nurturing creativity harmoniously with nature. Year-round lush vegetation, aromatic herbs, and informal seating areas offer relaxation and interaction. Dense hedges and lush borders create a serene space for meditation and exercise, featuring a lawn area and platform.

The Solidarity Workcafé
A standout feature is the Workcafé, managed by the Cometa Foundation, dedicated to training and integrating young people with disabilities into the workforce. This space is a place to meet, connect with company values, stimulate social interaction, sharing, and idea exchange.

The LVMH Group has chosen a headquarters model that fully represents its values of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility. Il Prisma translates these values into spaces with high standards of comfort, fully respecting people’s health and biodiversity.
