The concept of this project originates from the intention to explore the naturalism and the poetry of simplicity, and bring nature and poem into the city. A new type of “Life Hall” in the city is created by the designer based on the site-specific natural meaning. The object of the design is to establish a connection between people, space, and objects by infusing the principles of nature, art, and simplicity into the urban space. The design constantly explores different possibilities to showcase the interplay between nature and art, driving the project to a deeper level of practice and expression.

To ensure a harmonious relationship with the surrounding landscape and urban setting, the project deeply understands and respects the local culture, history, and natural characteristics. It actively integrates and responds to these elements under a design measure. With respect to interior space design, the project aims to deliver a seamless and organic spatial experience. By introducing natural elements and landscape design techniques, the project seamlessly blends with the peripheral green space and natural landscape, offering a serene and comfortable indoor environment for visitors.
In terms of sustainability and ecological compatibility, the project employs a portfolio of strategies, including but not limited to the exploitation of renewable energy systems, the use of energy-efficient building materials, and the maximized use of natural light and ventilation. Moreover, the project prioritizes the selection of renewable and eco-friendly materials certified by CQC Green Product Certification for interior decoration. For instance, non-toxic paints and wall paints, among others, are used to reduce the environmental loading and improve air quality.
Lantu Aesthetics Life Hall is located in Hangzhou, China. This commercial sales office, a new “Life Hall” in the city, is created by the designer using modern design language and artistic technique, and extending the space function, material construction, and experience of the traffic under the same correlated logic, based on the site-specific natural meaning. The front hall retains the main tones of modern wabi-sabi and the eastern philosophy of Zen. The designers start a journey to seek serenity and self-reflection amidst the bustling and hustling of the cityscape. They delve into the concept of making things simple by posing clean and neat lines against the textures derived from an array of materials. The geometry and exhibit of the floating wall gives a sort of power. The stone with transverse textures echoes with the lines of the corridor design, creating an interesting interaction between men and the space. At the end of the sand table exhibition hall is a symmetrical central axis, where the well-designed lighting and the design with a sense of ritual set the tone of a bright, pure and artistic atmosphere. The discussion area is intended to make visitors feel it like a city parlor. Furniture finishes made up of wood, metal and leather, with soft colors of weak contrast, look simple but back to the real state, giving users the texture and temperature they deserve.
Designers usually held varying viewpoints and conducted diverse investigations on space. It seems to be an open-ended question with multiple potential responses. For Niutian project design, our aim is to delve into the essence of the connections between humans and space, humans and objects, and interpersonal relations by exploring numerous possibilities. Furthermore, we strive to convey the interplay of nature and art to the extent possible.
