The Comet lamp is born from the idea of working with light inspired by a luminous trail, not a point light source, but a light in motion. Thus, the idea is inspired by the luminous trails of comets. The design of the lamp aims to be minimalist, to give importance and space to both light and shadow. Therefore, the non-luminous part, the lampshade, is composed of a simple and pure gesture: an elongated curve at the ends, a line that is soft yet dynamic.
The light is diffused by a glass sphere, but thanks to the metallic lampshade, it gains dynamism, develops in a linear manner, and creates a trail similar to that of a comet.

The Comet lamp was conceived as a wall lamp to further exploit the concept of projecting a luminous trail onto wall or ceiling surfaces. Its shape is suitable for both the use of a single lighting unit and for light compositions, such as a cascade of comets on a wall.
The light, directed in this way, amplifies and enhances the properties of the surfaces it comes into contact with, highlighting textures, gloss, materiality, granularity, and complexity. A simple yet dynamic design, capable of enriching the environment.
The Comet lamp project was developed with a strong focus on sustainability and eco-compatibility. The strategies, materials, and technologies used include the employment of sustainable and recyclable materials such as metal and blown glass. The metal, used for the lampshade, is highly recyclable and helps to reduce environmental impact. Blown glass, also recyclable, is not only eco-friendly but also ties the lamp’s creation to the local heritage, utilizing a technique historically rooted in Venice.
The technical specifications of the lamp include a voltage of 220-240V, a G9 1x4.5W LED light source, TRIAC dimmable, and an IP40 rating.
The central essence of Comet's design revolves around the dynamism of light, embodying the concept of infusing movement into what is typically static. Beyond merely illuminating spaces, Comet seeks to tell a narrative—a tale inspired by the romantic and mysterious imagery of a comet streaking through the night sky, casting its ethereal glow upon the darkness.
Comet's strength lies in its ability to seamlessly blend elegance with minimalism: the U-shaped lampshade crafted from painted aluminum, available in finishes such as anthracite, white, bronze, regal gold, or Corten, enhances the allure of the blown glass sphere. This thoughtful combination of materials and shapes not only ensures an efficient distribution of light but also enriches environments with a contemporary and refined aesthetic.
The versatility of Comet makes it suitable for a range of settings—from public spaces like shops and waiting rooms, where its modern design can make a significant visual impact, to private environments such as hotel rooms or minimalist-style living areas, where it fosters a welcoming and sophisticated ambiance. Thus, Comet not only illuminates but also evokes a celestial elegance reminiscent of its namesake in the cosmos.
Successfully presented at the Milan Furniture Fair 2023 during Euroluce, the Comet lamp stands out for its distinctive design. Blending aesthetics and storytelling, it represents innovative lighting that enriches environments not only with its modern elegance but also with added dynamism and character.
