The designers were first appointed to design a general masterplan which envisages the reorganization of flows - favoring pedestrian and cycle paths and optimizing vehicular and logistical roads - the increase in greenery, the study of signage and wayfinding and a chromatic material project inspired by the territory and nature. In the framework of the master plan, aesthetic guidelines have been identified which outline the general characteristics of the new interventions and the approach for maintenance and restyling works on the existing parts to be kept.
Parisotto+Formenton's design philosophy is always based on profound respect for the context and on the updating of historical and traditional elements of the territory on which they work. In this case, colors, materials and traditional construction techniques from the lagoon area and the Venetian coast were the starting point for the preliminary studies. In particular, the spontaneous rural architecture of the lagoon houses, which dot the coastal landscape with their large thatched roofs, are the inspiration for the new buildings, with the aim of achieving greater integration between the built environment and the greenery.
The Village is already green oriented and carries on diffentc actions and activities in this directions, and the renovation project will focus on the increase and improveent of green policies of the company. Sustainability is a generavl objective abouut differnt sectors as far as energy efficiency, water consumption reduction, solar power, greenery increase, e-cars charging stations and plastic free policy are concerned.
The first planned interventions concern the renovation of the area dedicated to the multifunctional centre: the new complex will host a bar/restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, an open-air theater and a gym. The building is made up of different parts, connected by patios and courtyards and linked by covered pedestrian paths. The low volumes are dominated by large sloping straw pitches that create a dynamic and articulated architectural landscape, where the open spaces dialogue in continuity with the interior. To complete the project for this area of the village, the square in front has been redesigned - with a new design of the paving, greenery and rest areas; new football and padel fields will also be built nearby. The project also involves the construction of a new mixed-use building that will house the conference room, the ice cream shop as well as service spaces such as a centralized pantry and kitchen, offices and staff accommodation on the upper floors. This intervention also fits into the concept guidelines identified by the studio: the two-storey building is crowned by the straw roof which roots it to the ground, integrating it into the context thanks to the neutral colors and natural textures.
