With the development of medical knowledge and modern technology, cities will place higher demands on hospitals. In our design, the beautiful waterfront parks will be combined with scientific research, teaching, health care, and community commercial clusters. The multi-functional hospital located in the core will serve as a link between various clusters in this future healthy city. The garden like hospital building introduces sunlight and air into each floor, and the modular structure and standard spatial units make it possible for various departments of the hospital to flexibly convert according to operational needs. The design strategy that supports phased development allows the entire hospital and even future clusters to have maximum flexibility in development.

The urban parking plaza located on the east side of the site solves the problem of the elevation difference between the east and west sides of the site. And when the hospital is connected to Jiangbei Avenue in the south, it forms a peninsula close to the waterfront landscape belt, which coordinates the convenient transportation and quiet environment required by the hospital. The east-west landscape texture introduces more of the ecological landscape of Xi River on the west side into the building, creating a space for patients and medical staff to have a dialogue with nature.
Nan'an Hospital was established in February 1938, and the Jiangbei Hospital District of Nan'an Hospital is the new hospital district of Nan'an Hospital. Nan'an Hospital is operating in the mode of "one hospital, two districts, differentiated development", with 36 clinical and medical departments, and the service scope can radiate nearly 1.6 million people in the city. Nan'an people will take this hospital as an opportunity to explore a new era of "Healthy Nan'an" with more breadth and depth.
