The architectural vision centers on seamlessly integrating diverse functionalities and client programs in a school design with radial interconnected wings for a cohesive spatial experience. Principles:
Openness to the City: The school transcends conventional boundaries, fostering accessibility and community engagement by seamlessly interacting with the urban environment.
Innovative Education: Embodying a progressive educational, the design accommodates evolving teaching methods, promoting creativity, collaboration, and intellectual exploration among students and educators.
Social Green Spaces: Recognizing the transformative power of nature, integrate green areas as essential social hubs that encourages recreation, informal learning, and community cohesion.

The Masterplan of the School integrates harmoniously into the site with a contemporary and innovative form. The exterior spaces draw inspiration from the mountains overlooking the Tigullio gulf. The paving reflects the contour lines of these mountains, shaping flowerbeds, external arrangements, stairs, and urban furniture, culminating in green courtyards where the pavement intersects with the building. These courtyards will be accessible outside school hours, offering specific functions in successive development phases, such as sports facilities, play areas, relaxation zones, and study areas.
The project incorporates environmental strategies that integrate both active and passive design elements. Careful selection of construction materials prioritizes certified, natural, and non-toxic options to minimize environmental impact throughout the building's lifecycle. Architectural features such as high-quality insulation and sufficient thermal inertia help reduce heating and cooling demands. Extensive green areas, including green roofs, are integral to creating a sustainable environment by mitigating urban heat island effects and improving air quality. Photovoltaic panels, sized per new regulations, maximize solar energy production, promoting energy independence.
The project is characterized by strong integration of contextual elements, student-centric design, and community engagement. The strengths lie in several characteristics:
Integration: The building harmonizes with its surroundings by echoing the lines of the landscape and integrating seamlessly into the site. This approach not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also fosters a sense of belonging and connection.
Student-Centric: The layout and amenities are meticulously designed to cater to the needs of students. The clusters of classrooms and adjacent informal spaces promote interaction and collaboration among students, creating a conducive environment for learning and social.
Community Engagement: Beyond its educational role, the project extends its benefits to the broader community. The integration of high-quality external spaces and the accessibility demonstrate a commitment to enhancing community life and promoting social interaction.
Flexibility and Sustainability: The design includes flexible spaces that serve multiple functions, from educational activities during school hours to community events and recreational activities after hours. This adaptability contributes to the sustainability and attractiveness of the project to both students and citizens alike.
Innovative Approach: The concept of an open Agora encourages exchange and interaction, reflecting a forward-thinking approach to educational environments.
The project served as an exciting experimentation ground for the team, embracing new technologies and innovative concepts. It redefines public space by transforming the school into more than just a building. Their aim was to inspire new ideas and approaches for the future of educational and community architecture.
The design group comprises four young professionals under 30 with diverse backgrounds and training. It originated in Milan following individual international work experiences, propelled by a mutual passion for social architecture, innovative space design, and the integration of new technologies in design. Initially brought together by work and later strengthened by friendship, they developed a cohesive bond that motivated them to engage in numerous architecture competitions. Each member contributes distinct professional expertise across various architectural domains, resulting in a unique amalgamation of skills. Their collective vision is centered on creating inclusive and accessible architecture for all.
