The idea behind the Quaresmeira's Residence project emerged from a desire to highlight the panoramic view of Pedra Azul - Brazil and promote residents' interaction with nature. The intention was to create the impression that the house was a plan that rests on the irregular terrain, without being tall or imposing, but rather harmonious with its surroundings. The concept was developed based on these premises, aiming to create a space for contemplating the landscape and connecting with nature. Moreover, the 30,000 square meters of land in the middle of a large green area also influenced the project, which sought to integrate the house with its environment.

The Quaresmeira's Residence is located in Pedra Azul, ES, on a green and steep terrain surrounded by a native forest that covers 2/3 of the land. The forest was preserved, and the project was developed to integrate the house with its surroundings, creating a harmonious connection with nature. The house was designed to provide panoramic views of the beautiful landscape and to offer a peaceful retreat that immerses the residents in the natural environment. The surrounding terrain inspired the project to use natural materials, such as wood and stone, and to feature an interior garden as a calming respite. Overall, the residence successfully integrates with the natural beauty of its location, offering a unique and tranquil living experience.

The Quaresmeira's Residence project was developed with a strong focus on sustainability and eco-compatibility. To achieve these goals, several strategies, materials, and technologies were implemented, such as green roofs, rainwater harvesting, and photovoltaic panels. The construction method used was the monolithic thermoacoustic walls, which have a sustainability certificate. These features contribute to the project's environmental efficiency, reducing energy consumption and promoting water conservation.

The Quaresmeira's Residence is characterized by its linear placement on the terrain, giving the impression that the house is floating. To reinforce this idea, a recessed foundation is used, while a veranda surrounds the part facing the mountainous region of Espírito Santo, featuring a wooden bench as a guardrail. The living room, in turn, features sliding glass doors that provide a view of the surrounding, as well as allowing natural light and ventilation to enter. On the veranda, there is a cutout in the ceiling and floor to accommodate a quaresmeira tree, which serves as an element connecting the house to nature. With only one floor, the house's zoning is done from the internal garden, which is located in the center of the house. Next to the garden, there is access to the private area of the house, with suites and private balconies. On the other side, there is a spacious living room, kitchen, and veranda. Outside, the swimming pool is at a lower level, using green quartzite as a material to communicate with the natural surroundings. In addition, the Quaresmeira's Residence follows the concepts of biophilia, which is reflected in the presence of an internal garden that acts as a breath of fresh air within the architecture, with cherry trees composing this private contemplation space. The use of natural materials, such as wood, moledo stone, and green quartzite in the pool, is also part of this concept.

The client's main idea was for the house to be a living space, not a countryside house, but at the same time have a harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape. In addition, he highly valued functionality for daily life, seeking a space that would meet his daily needs with comfort and practicality. With these thoughts in mind, the project was developed to create a house that would not only be aesthetically pleasing, but also offer a welcoming and functional environment for the client t
