As the core link of the information industry layout of the second stage eco-city, DATA DMZ takes "the core of the city"as its central concept, follows the urban design guidelines and shapes the urban interface through the square tower. The project intends to apply facade language to show its unique sense of science and technology, modernity and other characteristics. The designer uses vertical texture language on the tower, and the jumping lines are like the patterns of electronic components.

There are city gardens on the north and south sides of the project site. In view of this, the designer tries to design the retreat garden at the base to echo the city landscape, and build more outdoor activity platforms. Adhering to the principle of openness and sharing, public service space is created in the building for citizens (the lobby on the first floor connects the north and south gardens, where citizens can rest, stay and walk through), and a dynamic working space created for office workers (the data trading exhibition hall on the double-height 2nd floor can share data trading results in real time, and the enterprise offices on the 3rd to the 8th floor don’t set closed space, allowing employees communicate freely without obstruction.)

The ultimate goal of this project is "ultra-low energy consumption" buildings. As an ultra-low energy consumption building with an area of 20,000 square meters in northern China, this project takes the health and comfort of users as the design core, and takes the maximum saving and efficient use of resources, environmental protection and pollution reduction as the design goal, aiming at finally realizing the dream of healthy living and green office. This project has adopted some innovative measures in five aspects:Architecture with active technologies; Comfortability; Building capacity; Environmentally friendly; Technical innovation.

Located in the south of Tianjin Eco-city Information Park, DATA DMZ covers an area of 6,200 square meters and a building scale of 20,000 square meters. As the core link of the information industry layout of the second stage eco-city, this project takes the big data transaction in the north as the starting point to realize the related functions such as office, display and business incubation, which will soon become a new engine for upgrading the information industry.

DATA DMZ not only continues the appearance of the industrial park with a sense of science and technology at the design level, but also achieves a breakthrough in technology to provide an open and shared vitality space for the city, thus becoming an open, shared and green office with a sense of science and technology.
