The intention of the project is giving a second life to an old abandoned industrial warehouse through a series of operations aimed to transforming it into an attraction point: for parties, biking, yoga, digital nomads and life at the open air. The "L" shape of the pre-existence building is preserved but, working on subtractions and deleting part of the existing volume, we changed sterile industrial warehouse from the sixties into a dynamic volume well integrated into the landscape. The concept is to create a hybrid tourist structure that can be used both by a single community of friends-families-lovers of the same activity, and by customers who do not know each other and who share only a few common spaces. An innovative and flexible idea of tourism based on demand.
The building is raised 50 cm from the ground level, this allows the building to be viewed as
floating within the surrounding natural space. The outdoor spaces, carefully designed to
emphasize this concept, create a harmonious space with the surrounding environment.
The colors and natural materials complete a picture halfway between contemporary and
Even the interiors are in close relationship with the surrounding countryside through the large windows and the covered outdoor space that allows you to relate directly with the landscape context guaranteeing direct and indirect light. Externally, a green area with native plants and a vegetable garden area that can be used only by users complete the external services of the structure.
The project was carried out placing a strong emphasis on the issue of energy saving; configured as a highly energy-efficient building according to bioclimatic architecture criteria. The recovery of rainwater, the photovoltaic panels, the shielding of the windows to the south and the reduction of the windows to the north, an important natural fiber insulation of both the walls and the roof and a finely calibrated plant engineering make this villa zero CO2 emissions . In addition a natural ventilation system which is triggered through the central glazed part which allows natural ventilation of the common space and through the winter garden to the north and the glazed part to the south, it allows for regularization of the air flows from the outside to the inside.
The "L" shape of the pre-existence building is preserved but, working on subtractions and deleting part of the existing volume, we changed sterile industrial warehouse from the sixties into a dynamic volume well integrated into the landscape. The building is wrapped in a shell made of sandwich panels covered in gray steel sheet which, by subtracting matter, creates a hybrid space between inside and outside. The external part of the shell therefore calls an industrial finish in strong contrast with the internal finish of the shell, characterized instead by wooden panels that create a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The entire volume is then half divided by a glass element which characterizes the entire architectural composition both internally and externally: from the outside, in fact, this element represents the main point of the composition and the main entrance to the villa, while internally this element, in addition to being the entrance, it contains a series of leisure services that highlight the lifestyle concept of the project: space for cigars, cellar with wine, tasting area and spa with bathtub covered by the totally glazed structure mentioned above. This element breaks into the symmetrical structure bringing nature, greenery and a series of native plants inside, which will be inserted into the spa space, creating a winter garden. The shorts front are characterized by the rooms and the central part by commun space
The project was developed step by step with the customer who expressed his needs and we interpreted his every thought in order to make his touristic home a unique architecture in the panorama of country houses
FIMA is a multidisciplinary studio for Architecture
Alongside architectural design, which has always been a core business, there are all those preparatory disciplines for the design of buildings and spaces capable of arousing emotions: architects, engineers, energy managers, economic managers, render artists, cad, bim and AI experts, create a multifaceted team that guarantees a 360-degree approach to architecture. FIMA is a studio capable of tacking any type of project: from the interior design of luxury spaces, to the design of commercial buildings, from restoration projects of buildings of high artistic value to restyling and energy requalification of disused industrial spaces. A constant growth, matured in thirty years of presence on the market, has brought the studio to an international level. Today FIMA works in China, Iraq, Iran and Libya. FIMA projects are born from people and focus on people, their needs and the spaces in which they live.
