XIXI'IN is a garden office park comprised of 71 low-rise buildings with 3-4 storeys and a floor area of 184,000 square metres, catering to the different workplace and living mode demands of the modern day. Another critical issue to note is that the project began in May 2019, at the beginning of the epidemic. Due to the constant social environment in the epidemic time, uncertainty has gradually become the norm of life, and the certainty of building has prompted architects to constantly reflect and adjust the spatial organization and construction mode to provide new changeable buildings. One of the most significant aspects is the shift in working and lifestyle, which is no longer a separate building function. During a lockdown, people may work at home or live in the workplace. As a result, the XIXI'IN's response is to obscure and ambiguously define the office park's limits of purpose, place, and time. With a plot ratio of 1.4 and a height of 16 meters, the space capacity challenges the design in the site layout, building monomer type, and facade fine design. The project employs two key strategies: one relates to the building function, which is collapse in the vertical dimension, to adapt to the needs of multi-scenario complexes, and the other relates to its location, which is reflected in the building form and overall image. The site's location determines it as an urban gateway as well as its diverse and complex temperament, which combines the multiple sensitivities of natural history, humanities and arts, technology and business. The design is inspired by Lilong culture (as well as Chinese lanes and alleys in the surrounding community) and Jinshi culture (as well as Hangzhou's seal art), and the layout of low-rise units with individual garden layout maximizes land economy, while the lane-style spatial organization creates a poetic habitat close to human scale. Every L-shaped volume severs as a unit with an independent courtyard. In contrast to the epidemic's normality, a provide high-quality outdoor place is especially necessary. Office, living, entertainment, catering, banquet, and other numerous purposes are wrapped in the vertical space from the first basement to the third or fourth above ground, where scenarios vary and the space is efficient and dense. The XIXI'IN facade design is inspired by the beautiful Jiangnan aesthetics and blended into the current design language. The material colour palette eliminates the typical high-cold tone of office buildings, shines in the urban interface with colourful imagery, and emphasises the young vigour of the commercial office area in the modern period. The lively and flexible architectural texture merges the serene and beautiful wetland memory gracefully, with grey dry-hanging stone, wood-coloured grille, bronze brushed aluminium plate, spot glazed white glass, colourful glazed pottery plate, and so on. With the addition of high-quality building materials, the unconventional colour application of the architectural form, the streamlined proportion division, and the "viewfinder frame" design on the roof, all create a highly recognisable architectural image, and establish the extraordinary temperament of the future enterprises.
