A modern language for an elegant interior: HOUSE EA

Didonè Comacchio Architects has renovated a ’60s residential building at the foot of the Asolo Hills in Treviso, transforming it into HOUSE EA. The architects thoroughly analyzed the context of the project, including the slope of the site and the nature of the surrounding buildings and setting, to develop a project that takes every detail into account.

Poised between the old and the new, HOUSE EA retains many of the original building’s features, such as the gable roof, but does it with a palette of materials and colors with a decidedly contemporary edge.

A covered walkway on the west and south elevations, which shelters the entrance, defines the exterior composition of the project. The house occupies an area of 1615 square feet (150 m2). The living area is a big open space with large windows overlooking the private garden. Located on the top floor, the bedrooms offer views of the surrounding landscape.

Didonè Comacchio Architects has given the home two personalities, with the exterior characterized by darker tones, while the lighter shades of white and wood create a family atmosphere inside. The elegance of clean, decisive architectural lines defines every space, giving a compositional unity and
distinctive language to the whole project.

HOUSE EA is a contemporary renovation with a clear design intention that updates the original design, while improving comfort levels and the spatial perception of the interiors.
