Marion Weiss and Michael A. Manfredi are the co-founders of WEISS/MANFREDI, a multidisciplinary design practice based in New York City known for the dynamic integration of architecture, art, infrastructure, and landscape. The firm’s multidisciplinary work was featured in the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale, FREESPACE, and includes award-winning projects such as the Olympic Sculpture Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Visitor Center, Penn’s Center for Nanotechnology, Barnard’s Diana Center, the Tata Innovation Center at Cornell Tech, and Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park in Queens. Current projects include the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India, the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale, and a museum expansion for the Artis—Naples Cultural Campus.

Weiss received her Master of Architecture at Yale University and is currently the Graham Chair Professor of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design. Manfredi received his Master of Architecture at Cornell University and is a Senior Design Critic at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. WEISS/MANFREDI has been recognized with the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award for Architecture, the Academy Award for Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Architectural League’s Emerging Voices Award, the New York AIA Gold Medal, the Tau Sigma Delta Gold Medal, and Harvard’s International VR Green Prize in Urban Design. Their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Louvre, and the Guggenheim Museum. Both Weiss and Manfredi are fellows of the American Institute of Architects and National Academy inductees, and have taught studios at Harvard, Penn, Cornell, Princeton, and Yale University as the Eero Saarinen Visiting Professors.
