“From simple and linear woodgrains like Oak Veneto to lively and striking like Bardolino Oak – authenticity is one of the leading topics in the furniture industry,” says Verena Michels, Furniture Decor Manager and Interior Design at Egger. Reproducing a defined 3D look and feel, which is further perfected with the new ST10 Authentic surface, is vital. A white liming in the Authentic Oak decor, which appears rough and weathered has also been well received by customers.
In addition to the oak decors, Egger is also placing great emphasis on coniferous types of wood reproductions in 2011 with a pronounced depth effect such as Pacific Walnut or Elm Provence. “Authenticity is achieved in any wood type by emphasising its own natural elements, such as the deep grain and striking knots of coniferous wood or the elegant florets of an elm,” Michels explains. “Authenticity also influences our range of uni decors as shown with the slightly modified white hues for natural-harmonious combinations and the chalk colours with a matt effect, which bring an entirely new colour group to furniture design,” Verena Michels says.
The worktop highlights feature an authentic look and feel as well. Thanks to its even colouration, the Basaltino decor series can also be combined with striking types of wood or even used on the front panel. The Galaxy decor series can be combined with all wood hues thanks to its multitude of colours.
