Designed by Jems Architekci, Pixel’s Poznan office building - the first of what will be a five-volume complex - is located in a peripheral area south west of the city centre.

The seven-storey building also houses a public-access bar-restaurant on the ground floor and a child day-care centre for company employees. In line with the most modern comfort-at-work concepts, the office design includes relaxation and entertainment spaces, open space areas to encourage professional interaction, and more secluded work environments. The building stands out for the marked difference of its elevations. The compact appearance of the glazed curtain walls on the two street-facing façades is relieved by a series of discreet projections and shallow recesses at various levels of the building. In contrast, the inward facing façades are more dramatically articulated into alternating solids and voids in the form of double-height timber-clad loggias and glazed sections - a solution that offers office occupants views on the outside but also covered outdoor environments for informal meetings and exchange.

The Guardian glass outer envelope provides all working environments with the right amount of natural daylight, visual wellbeing and comfort zone temperatures. SunGuard SuperNeutral glass ensures high light transmission (62%), solar control (34%) and a Ug coefficient of 1.0 W/m2K, so combining occupant comfort with energy cost reductions for both heating and air conditioning.
