The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences in Doha, Qatar designed by John McAslan + Partners is a triumph. The interior design by David Collins Studio and Jouin Manku is a sophisticated compliment to the architecture.

Shaded and airy collonade

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences strikes a perfect balance between urban tradition and modernity with its shaded and airy colonnade. The elegant structure consists of 123 guest rooms, 35 suites and 91 apartment residences. The skillfully detailed limestone exterior respects the context of the place— past, present and future. The architects successfully accomplished a sense of fortified tranquility with this project— a new landmark on Al Baraha Square.

John Rose, former Development Director, Msheireb Properties

“John McAslan + Partners has responded well to Msheireb Properties’ vision to enhance and rejuvenate Downtown Doha, integrating sustainable principles with Qatari culture and identity to create buildings that are rooted in tradition, yet confidently contemporary.”
