The Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village in Santa Monica opens a new outdoor space.
Designed by Brooks + Scarpa with a shape that conjures up images of the Pacific Ocean’s
waves, The Cove is an exclusive outdoor space for experiencing the carefree, lively
atmosphere of Southern California. Covering a little over 8000 m 2 , this space at the Four
Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is one of the most impressive luxury pool projects in
California.
Architects Angela Brooks and Lawrence Scarpa envisioned it as a haven for relaxation
and wellbeing, where guests can enjoy the cool breezes from the nearby Santa Monica
Mountains.
The Cove offers every amenity, including an outdoor bar and grill with a full kitchen, IT
points, three whirlpool spas, a grand pool, terraced lounge seating, luxury private
daybeds, and swaying hammocks, all surrounded by towering date palms. There are also
a bocce court, a greenhouse for wellness experiences, and an outdoor restaurant and
bar, where guests can enjoy the California sun.
Adding to the atmosphere is a palette of bright colors inspired by the coastline, including
turquoise, cobalt blue, burnt orange, and greens, which bring both tranquility and personality
to the space, while harmonizing perfectly with the teak floor and the white aluminum
canopy.
Tiki torches are lit as the sun sets at the golden hour, transforming The Cove into an even
richer experience.
