Prima Pearl Tower
By Redazione The Plan -

The Prima Pearl Tower rises in the South Bank district of Melbourne, one of the tallest apartment blocks in the city. The curving façade is clad in bronze colored reflective glass panels (offering excellent thermal and sound insulation) that create changing effects as the day draws on, standing clear in the city skyline.

Created by Disegno Australia, the building soars 72 floors into the air: 10 are for parking, two for entertainment and leisure, one for a sky lounge and the remaining 57 for 600 luxury apartments. Each one has a stunning city view through full-height glazing that allows natural light to fill the living areas.

The finishings in the apartments are high quality, with 300 even having customised solutions designed according to owner requirements.

Private and communal walls and floors in the skyscraper were clad with over 23,000 sq m of ceramic tiles and stone slabs.

Mapei’s involvement in the project was to provide waterproofing materials for the cladding in the wet areas, adhesive for the cladding and floor and wall mosaics, sealants for the joints and grouting for the tiles.

The choice of Mapei products not only ensured high quality materials, but also guaranteed the demanding building site deadlines were met.
