Mayfair is one of the most sought-after districts in London and, in the south-western section overlooking Hyde Park, stands a historical building that has been turned into luxury residences under the Dorchester Collection brand, with the revamp planned by the PLP Architecture practice and developed by Clivedale. Mayfair Park Residences – as the complex is known – draws on the spirit of place, with its characteristic interweaving of details and custom furnishings, Georgian-style elements and avant-garde and contemporary solutions. The interior project was the work of the Jouin Manku design studio, which set out to make sumptuousness and prestige the defining elements. The result is a traditional look that melds with a contemporary style even in aspects like the façades where classical proportions are juxtaposed with white travertine.

The residences clearly come with a wealth of services, such as special access to the bar and restaurant at 45 Park Lane, as well as the option to use the expansive Health Club. The latter has a heated 20-m pool, a pool for hydrotherapy, a gym extending over 200 sq. m, areas reserved for individual training sessions or personalized wellness treatments, a sauna and a hammam. For the latter two elements, the client chose to work with Effe, a company that specializes in wellness solutions, from emotional showers to tepidariums and relaxation areas. For the sauna and Turkish bath areas, the client opted for two made-to-measure versions from the BodyLove collection, both in the unique size of 3,758 x 2,351 mm.

BodyLove S is the specific model of sauna chosen, with an aluminum structure and tempered glass. Inside, it has porcelain stoneware tiles and heat-treated wood to create an elegant environment that truly fits the soft sophistication of the Club. This ability to easily integrate into a wide variety of settings is a special strength of the BodyLove S model, which – in the version in the catalogue – uses a modular system designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and Michele Angelini.

BodyLove H was the model chosen for the hammam and shower, once again in a custom double shower version. The crisp, versatile and compact lines are created by an external structure of aluminum and grooved glass, while the ceiling is in porcelain stoneware, and the internal benches in Corian.

The sauna and hammam face each other and open onto a wellness center in warm, natural colors, where technology has been knowingly integrated to the highest of standards in a very welcoming, serene and calm atmosphere.
