“Finestre sul mondo”: Industrial Craftsmanship for Contemporary Architecture

PB Finestre has participated in the project

Drawing on an approach rooted in design culture and the creative spirit that is at the heart of Italian style, PB has been giving shape to a harmony of lines and surfaces for over 60 years, generating well-being for any space. Over time, this passion for detail and the pursuit of style have merged with cutting-edge technologies to produce more than just windows and doors: PB creates bespoke architectural elements that transform interiors and elevate natural light to a defining feature. Step by step, the company has come to specialize in next-generation door and window systems, developing from its artisanal roots into a robust industrial entity that blends tradition and innovation at scale.

PB’s collections reflect a profound commitment to design, driven by a uniquely Italian esthetic sensitivity that celebrates craftsmanship, passion and the intrinsic beauty of premium materials, particularly Wood, Aluminum wood, Glass wood, Bronze wood and pvc. Every step in the manufacturing process takes place in-house, ensuring maximum project customization and giving architects and designers an unusually high degree of creative freedom. What truly sets PB apart is the versatility of its solutions. Engaging with architects and clients is central to producing concrete, tailored outcomes that are adapted to the specific needs and character of each project and site.

An excellent example of PB’s approach is a hotel on Fifth Avenue in New York, where the technical challenge even outdid the esthetic one: achieving sound insulation and crafting details like custom “fake hanging windows” were just some of the project’s standout features. PB’s portfolio includes many other iconic projects, from luxury retail spaces in central Moscow to private villas in Doha and traditional European residences around the continent.  Each architectural scenario becomes an opportunity to highlight the company’s ability to adapt while maintaining its commitment to quality and detail.

This year, PB launched a major rebranding effort to express not only the value of every step it has taken so far, but also its vision for the future. From PB Finestre to PB | Finestre sul mondo [Windows on the World], the new identity marks not an endpoint, but a symbol of ongoing evolution and development.
