From 13th-19th April Corradi Group, the Italian specialists in mobile awnings and outdoor furniture, are taking part in the Milan Fuorisalone, displaying their new collections at the Superstudio+ garden, the Tortona district exhibition site. Curators are the architecture practice “Uainot Architetti” and their theme is an open-air picnic seen as an opportunity to enjoy nature in a relaxed playful mood. Corradi will be welcoming their design-conscious guests onto a classic tartan ‘rug’ of 500 sq.m. proportions. The idea is to relax on the display furniture in the shade of the awnings. The enormous plaid blanket covering the garden , spread with ideas for living in the open air, alternates natural materials like rocks, wood and turf. It is criss-crossed with straight paths down which the Corradi world beckons. In the quadrangles that these form are leisure areas for communing with nature, alone or in a group.
The display is dominated by Pergotenda® in its various versions - some of them brand new: from the classic Millenium in the bronze-coloured new version, to Pergotenda® Iridium and Pergotenda® Kubo, the self-supporting aluminium awning system which is fresh off the Corradi drawing board. Under the awnings there will be four Corradi Arredi lines, including the newborn Linea Foglia, designed by Gianluca Rossi, Corradi’s Creative Director, as well as the nautical-looking shade sails by Velombra, a Corradi Group company.
The Fuorisalone exhibition also sees the debut of a new line of accessories - mats, vases and candles - designed to bring a hedonistic note to life in the great outdoors.
