With 120 residences on 20 floors, One Steuart Lane redefines the San Francisco skyline with its stunning location right near the vibrant waterfront. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building embodies the essence of the California lifestyle with floor-to-ceiling windows and a façade clad in Italian travertine. The design seamlessly integrates private residences with shared amenities, including a lobby, resident lounge, fitness center and indoor/outdoor spa suites, all by Rottet Studio. In particular, the design of the spa, featuring solutions from Effe, enhances the spacious and light-filled spaces dedicated to wellness and fitness. The most outstanding feature is the sauna, a custom Sky model designed by Giovanna Talocci for Effe specifically for this location. It features a cabin clad in heat-treated Aspen slats, whose warm honey tone creates a deeply relaxing and immersive environment. Access is through a large, full-height door that enhances the brightness of the interior and creates a seamless visual connection with the outside. The door and fixed panel are made of 10 mm tempered glass and are custom-made based on the Tuttovetro Inside model, with a recessed profile designed for optimal sealing and efficient air circulation. Inside the cabin, LED-lit benches provide additional lighting, while wooden tubs and ladles offer guests a refreshing way to rinse off with cool water. The design’s emphasis on energy efficiency aligns with the sustainability goals of the entire condominium building, which has earned LEED Gold certification. In the sauna, the integrated automatic Energy Saver function increases efficiency, while the custom-built Turkish bath features Effe’s Nuvola Smart Power steam generator, designed to minimize water and energy waste. The Turkish bath, clad in neutral Clauzetto Marvel Stone porcelain stoneware, creates a refined environment where formal simplicity is paramount, while the option to place the generator outside the hammam further streamlines the design. These innovations extend the architects’ vision of sophisticated and authentic comfort from the residences to the spa, ensuring a cohesive and luxurious experience throughout.
