Circularity and Innovation: the Future of Panels is Already Here

Stacbond has participated in the project

Constant development has driven Stacbond towards the ambitious goal of completely closing the product’s life cycle such that, from the outset, each panel carries the promise of renewal, transforming waste into opportunity. Working towards this vision, Stacbond – a Spanish company specializing in aluminum composite panels, pre-coated coils and structural components for architecture – has refined its production process. Operating through wholly owned subsidiaries worldwide, Stacbond has built its strength on end-to-end control of every stage of the design, production, marketing and sales processes. This approach not only enables the company to deliver customized, innovative solutions tailored to project needs but also enhances quality and streamlines every step of the process. Equal attention is given to finishes – with over 120 options available – along with textures, shapes and colors, ensuring the panels blend easily into their architectural surroundings or harmonize with the natural environment.

Circolarità e innovazione: il futuro dei pannelli è già presente

One of the most significant projects in Italy that the company has contributed to in recent times is Merlata Bloom Milano, a shopping center designed by CallisonRTKL and a key element in the urban transformation of Milan’s northwest district. Widely recognized as an iconic and sustainable architectural landmark, Merlata Bloom stands out for its innovative use of materials and numerous certifications. For this project, Stacbond supplied its A2 composite panels, engineered for high-performance and excellent fire resistance with a mineral core sandwiched between two aluminum sheets. Their exceptional rigidity, flatness, impact resistance, durability and low maintenance make them an ideal solution for high-rise, high-occupancy buildings – just like Merlata Bloom.
