Designed by Productora and set amid the lush landscape of the Oaxaca coast in Mexico, Casa Rosada immediately captivates with its distinctive pink tones that harmonize with the surrounding lush greenery.Casa Rosada - Productora © Roberto Cuevas, courtesy of Productora

Located in Puerto Escondido, the residence occupies a steeply sloping site, which presented both a stimulating challenge and a creative opportunity for the architects. A structural wall plays a pivotal role in the design team’s solution, acting not only as a load-bearing element but also as a key architectural feature, delineating and partitioning spaces, and dividing the house into two distinct, autonomous volumes.Casa Rosada - Productora © Roberto Cuevas, courtesy of Productora

The first volume features a spacious open palapa, designed to host the home’s living areas. Here, the rooms merge with nature, creating a fresh, relaxed atmosphere. Constructed using local techniques and locally sourced palm products – chosen for their durability in coastal conditions – the palapa integrates harmoniously with the pink hues of the walls and terracotta flooring.Casa Rosada - Productora © Roberto Cuevas, courtesy of Productora

Utility areas and parking are located at ground level, the area designed to integrate seamlessly with the rest of the home. The cantilevered swimming pool is a striking feature here, offering spectacular views of the treetops and ocean.Casa Rosada - Productora © Roberto Cuevas, courtesy of Productora

In contrast, the second volume is a more compact, enclosed block that hosts the bedrooms and private spaces. The bedrooms are oriented to offer panoramic vistas of the landscape, while a roof terrace offers an additional vantage point that’s ideal for contemplation and relaxation amid the natural beauty that surrounds the home.

Casa Rosada is a genuine sanctuary of well-being, a retreat designed for rejuvenation and reconnecting with the authentic traditions of Mexico.
