This 64-floor skyscraper at 1000 Brickell Plaza in downtown Miami is one of the city’s true architectural icons, an urban oasis developed by Ugo Colombo and designed by Luis Revuelta. The glass tower is instantly identifiable in the skyline of this throbbing district because of its sinuous curves and sweeping exposures. For the interiors, Massimo Iosa Ghini has developed everything around the concept of fluidity and continuity of space, creating a seamless transition from outdoor to indoor areas. Exquisite, original design is the core of every Brickell Flatiron condo in an unrelenting search for the highest quality. The meticulously chosen materials find their perfect match in the magnificent Italian design. Barausse was brought in for the apartment front doors, internal doors and the sliding doors for the wardrobes.

For the entrances, the architect designed backlit double-sided doors that Barausse then manufactured ensuring they met demanding American standards for fire safety and emissions, thus providing another piece in guaranteeing the highest safety and sustainability levels. The condo block project is an emblematic example of a client selecting Barausse to produce customized doors that can separate spaces, without dividing them, that can merge beauty with practicality and that meet the demanding standards of a designer in his ceaseless search for products that are more than simple design items.

Barausse’s project management team is always on hand to provide support for any project, right from the initial conception phase for a tender, through finding the most suitable technologies for specific project specifications, on to creating the shop drawings and product forms, and right up to on-site assistance, training and testing. Barausse’s firebreak doors are tested and certified according to European, Swiss, US and Russian standards. They also come in multiple finishings to provide solutions for any design brief, thus fitting in perfectly with the other interior elements.
