AGi architects

AGi Architects is an international architecture firm that stands out for its quality, creativity, and exclusive design. Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea and Nasser B Abulhasan, both world-renowned architects who graduated from Harvard University, founded the studio. With offices in Kuwait and Madrid, the studio has a team of over 50 professionals who provide a multidisciplinary design approach.

Innovation is the driving force behind AGi Architects, constantly pushing it to search for contemporary solutions to address new architectural challenges. The firm sees buildings as open, flexible systems, in which flows and interactions transform the boundaries of the architecture according to the content of its spaces. This philosophy means that the firm’s designs adapt to constantly changing needs, while maintaining a balance between form and function.

Environmental and social commitment is another of the firm’s cornerstones. The studio opts for production and maintenance systems that minimize energy consumption and maximize the use of natural resources, such as sunlight. This commitment to sustainability is a feature of every project, with each one developed to minimize environmental impact and improve the quality of life of users.

Research, innovation, and sustainability are fundamental elements of all AGi Architects’ work. Every project grows out of an in-depth study to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional, and seamlessly integrates into the social and cultural contexts. This holistic approach ensures that its architecture provides unique and meaningful experiences, while becoming a basic part of people’s everyday life.

The studio specializes in several areas, including architecture, urban planning and design, interior design, and consultancy. Its architecture division aims to create spaces that offer long-term sustainability through creative, thoughtfully designed solutions. Harnessed with an eye on energy-efficiency and cultural awareness, technology is seen as a means of improving living standards.

In its urban planning work, AGi Architects is committed to researching territorial and social relationships. Projects such as the CRC Desert Campus and Alghanim Master Plan in Kuwait have transformed “non-places” into complex areas of interaction, triggering social development through urban planning without imposing foreign cultural models.

Its interior design team is passionate about attention to detail as an essential element in an overall vision of spaces and volumes. They meticulously study textures, light, and shade to create environments tailored to specific uses and experiences, therefore enhancing interaction between users and their surroundings.

Finally, in its consultancy work, the firm offers technical and conceptual support to facilitate turning client briefs into reality. The studio focuses on improving the performance of projects through to construction, ensuring that every detail is taken care of and that the clients’ expectations are fully met.

AGi Architects has won over 50 international awards, including the prestigious Lafarge Holcim Awards, WAF Awards, Middle East Architect Awards, MIPIM Architectural Review, Identity Design Awards, and Cityscape Awards. The studio has also been recognized by the European Union Mies van der Rohe Award for Contemporary Architecture and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.

AGi Architects continues to distinguish itself internationally through its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality design. With a vision that combines creativity and research, the studio creates environments that enrich the lives of clients and whole communities.
