Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Trentino Alps in Val di Sole, the Chalet al Foss Alp Resort is a luxury five-star retreat with 36 rooms, offering guests truly immersive relaxation. In such an exclusive setting, Myrtha Pools was brought on board to design a statement-making wellness pool to complement the existing one on the hotel’s terrace.

Blending cutting-edge technology with a complete terrace overhaul, the project pushed the boundaries of design to successfully create a suspended pool. Myrtha’s solution was a single, large basin – one that not only gives the terrace a striking new identity but also improves guest comfort and safety. The pool’s structure combines Myrtha steel panels with transparent acrylic glass walls, a technological solution that streamlines construction and reduces the structural load. The result? A breathtaking infinity pool with a cascading edge, seamlessly merging with the Alpine panorama to create a true window onto the landscape.

The real showstopper touch is the transparent flooring, extending the visual effect from the perimeter walls and creating the exhilarating sensation of floating between the sky and the mountains. The interplay of dark stone and light filtering through the crystal-clear surfaces creates an amazing space in the day, with an LED system casting a dramatic glow that accentuates the pool’s contours and colors once the sun sets.
