Since its market launch in 1998, the Happy D. Series, designed by Sieger Design, has defined a paradigm of simplicity and clear geometric lines. Duravit’s Happy D.2 has reinterpreted and renewed this timeless collection by adding soft feminine lines combined with technology and functionality. Happy D.2 has twelve washbasins and thirteen bathtub models to choose from, but they are all characterised by a basic geometric form with rounded corners and reduced outer rims. The washbasins have a spacious bowl and come in a classic version, with a pedestal or syphon cover, as well as furniture and console versions. The height-adjustable chrome console can be used as a towel rack and creates a contrast with the ceramic shapes, whilst the ultraflat wooden console has a unique front rim that is only 12 mm thick. Variously-sized wall shelves and undersink or column units complete the collection. LED technology is used to light the mirrors, providing homogeneous LED light in an attractive colour for optimum and non-glare illumination of the face. The mirror unit is available with an integrated sound system that can be synched with any Bluetooth device.
The series also features floor-standing and wall-mounted toilets and bidets. The gently domed toilet lid looks perfectly flat and is equipped with the Softclose system. The optimum slope of the backrest in the bathtubs ensures excellent comfort, perhaps creating an ideal bath if one has chosen a model with a Duravit spa bath system incorporated.
