The transparent entry provides a seamless view through a landscaped patio with herbal gardens next to the kitchen, creating a harmonious indoor-outdoor connection. Passive environmental factors have influenced the form. The massing is orientated in such a way that the biggest glazing is from the South. Much sun light comes to the inside. Some blinds are mounted to provide shading. The design is an immersive experience that allows for diverse activities, while enjoying panoramic views. The building address flexibility and adaptability for a long-life future.

Thermally-efficient ceramic blocks and biodegradable travertine stone decrese post-occupancy costs. The building emits a small amount of CO2, e.g. aluminium windows have low carbon footprint. The sophisticated manufacturing process of the incorporated energy-efficient technologies emphasizes sustainability of the residence by means of reduced amount of construction waste. Furthermore, photovoltaic panels, a heat pump, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and a wastewater treatment plant contribute to partial autonomy. An elevated swimming pool examplifies innovative construction practice. The project has been rewarded with International Architecture and Design Awards, Muse Design Awards.
