Villa SM’s project was born to create a modern house tailored to the customer. The interaction between interior and exterior is a fundamental part of the concept, since it is precisely through dialogue with the surrounding landscape that the villa acquires a wider scope. The spaces expand, offering an incredible view that ranges from Mount Etna’s craters to the coast. This visual and physical connection with the environment allows you to live in harmony with nature, making the most of the peculiarities of the place and offering a unique and engaging living experience.

Villa SM is designed to enhance the wonderful location of the property, located at such a height that you can enjoy the view of the entire gulf of Taormina. The Sicilian landscape and its contrasts are silent protagonists of the project. Here, architecture and nature dance in a pas-de-deux so harmonious as to seem ethereal. The structure integrates perfectly with the surrounding environment, creating a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior. The large windows and terraces offer breathtaking views, while the use of local materials reflects the natural beauty of the landscape. Villa SM is a peaceful retreat where the magnificence of Sicilian nature blends with design, offering a unique and charming living experience.

The Villa SM project has been realized with a strong consideration for sustainability and eco-compatibility. The orientation of the building uses solar exposure and natural ventilation to reduce energy consumption. Particular attention was paid to the thermal insulation that has been designed to maintain an optimal temperature with minimal energy expenditure. The materials used, such as wood, hemp, bamboo and raw earth, are renewable and have a low environmental impact. The value of the project lies in its reproducibility in natural environments of extraordinary value. It is a conservative project with low costs, which restores and enhances local ecosystems, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly housing model.

Villa SM was designed as an oasis, where the Sicilian landscape and the house are no longer in antithesis but constitute a new virtuous action capable of undermining the anthropocentric vision of space. The peculiarity of the project lies in the perfect intersection between the variety of the landscape and the architectural structure. The importance given to the outdoor space has had a strong impact on the whole project. The surrounding vegetation is varied and integrates perfectly with the architectural structure, creating a continuous dialogue between the interior and the exterior. The pool, created to measure, acts as a link between the interior and the garden becoming a central element that enriches the living experience and strengthens the bond with the natural environment. The interior spaces of Villa SM have been organized to ensure privacy and maximize the view and the connection with the landscape. The large windows allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Sicilian landscape from every corner of the house. The layout of the rooms on several levels follows the natural shape of the ground, creating a dynamic and harmonious structure. The project of Villa SM is characterized by the use of sustainable materials and eco-friendly technologies, which reduce the environmental impact and improve the energy efficiency of the building. The attention to detail and the choice of modern and comfortable furnishings guarantees maximum comfort, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment

Villa SM stands out for the elegance and simplicity of its lines, creating a perfect balance between modern architecture and surrounding nature. The large windows allow a continuous connection with the outside, while the bright and airy interiors offer a cozy and refined environment. The use of natural and sustainable materials emphasizes the attention to eco-compatibility, making this villa an oasis of tranquility and well-being.

Curriculum

Studio Anna Polisano was founded in Catania in 2001 and deals with all-round design, both interior, landscape, renovation and construction, facing orders of various kinds: residential, commercial, Ho.re.Ca., retail and design of unique pieces of furniture.
The architect Anna Polisano, head of the studio, employs professionals specialized in different sectors, thus creating an efficient, organized and multidisciplinary team.
The hallmark of the studio is a minimalist architecture, bright, colorful, characterized by the relationship between volumes, strong contrasts of full and empty, determining a linear style that emphasizes the materials, enhanced by light, where space takes on the role of undisputed protagonist. Particular attention is paid to the definition of Studio Concept, in which architecture and interior design become sartorial, concretizing ideas of objects and environments making them explorable through the emotions of living the space and its forms.
