A project born out of research and linearity. The planning of this house is the product of a meticulous search for a place capable of offering serenity and connection with nature, even if situated in the city center. The principal aim was to build a residence not only aesthetically pleasing, but also completely accessible and with no physical obstacles, that could integrate natural materials, in order to create a healthy and welcoming space.
In the heart of the city of Bassano, surrounded by a green oasis of tranquility, stands a house, which is one of a kind, born out of the need for a place without any physical obstacles. This request asked for innovative and unique housing solutions.
View of the landscape: a window on nature. The view of the landscape is one of the key elements of this project. The huge windows and sliding glass doors create a direct connection between indoor and outdoor. Every room offers a view on the garden, allowing the occupants to enjoy the beauty of nature at every moment of the day.
The usage of natural materials is one of the signature elements of this habitation. The walls are completely covered in marmorino, an antique finish made of lime, which confers a soft and velvety texture, while guaranteeing great transpiration and breathability. Local stone has been used in some walls and in the outdoor floor, which recalls the solidity and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Wood has been employed in the indoor floors and many other surfaces, as it adds coziness, warmth and comfort to the rooms, resulting in a more natural look.
Metal, used just for coverage, assures a pinch of modernity without stealing the spotlight to the prevailing natural materials.
This house represents a model of contemporary architecture that combines functionality, aesthetic and respect for the environdìment. Situated in the heart of the city, completely enveloped by greenery and planned to be completely accessible, it is a great example of housing spaces that better the quality of life. This has been achieved through the integration of natural materials and innovative architectural solutions. The fluidity of spaces, the view of the landscape and the wise employment of stone, marmorino, wood and metal make this house a unique place where beauty and practicality blend together in perfect harmony.
The project represents a perfect union between the research of the ideal spot and a linear distribution of the spaces, which resulted in a house that unites functionality, beauty and respect for nature.
