Nervesa 21, a modern, sustainable, and functional space

Lombardini22

Renovation  /  Completed
Lombardini22

The design concept for the redevelopment of the property in Milan aims to transform an existing building into a modern, sustainable, and functional space. Through a detailed analysis, clear objectives were defined, such as achieving prestigious certifications and improving sustainability. Collaboration among various professionals enabled the development of renderings and models of the proposed solutions. Office space efficiency was increased by relocating the elevators from the center to the façade, creating an image of "movement and dynamism" and improving the usability of the floors, with the possibility of floor subdivision. The final project, innovative and participatory, fully meets everyone's needs.

The redevelopment project of the building in Milan integrates with the landscape and urban environment through various strategies. The use of glass and metal modules on the facades promotes a visual dialogue with the surrounding buildings, increasing transparency and brightness of the interior spaces. New glass volumes on the roof and panoramic terraces offer views of the surrounding environment, enhancing urban integration. The external works, following LEED and WELL sustainability guidelines, include green areas and pavements that create a welcoming and functional space for users and the community, reflecting the focus on well-being and quality of life in the area.

The project adopted sustainable strategies to reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency, including optimizing natural lighting, using high-efficiency HVAC systems, and recyclable materials. Advanced technologies like occupancy sensors and energy management systems maximize efficiency and reduce consumption. Water-saving measures were implemented, including rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling. The use of FSC-certified wood and recycled materials, along with recycling and composting practices, enabled the achievement of LEED certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.

The redevelopment project of the property in Milan stands out for its strong emphasis on sustainability, guiding all phases and design choices. With environmental certifications like LEED, WELL, and WIREDSCORE, the aim is to reduce environmental impact and enhance occupant well-being. The use of eco-friendly materials such as permeable pavements and bioclimatic pergolas not only minimizes impact during construction but also promotes a healthy indoor environment. Outdoor spaces, designed according to LEED and WELL guidelines, promote biodiversity and user comfort, while optimizing natural lighting and energy-saving solutions like glass facades reduce energy consumption. Eco-friendly construction practices and responsible waste management underscore the commitment to sustainability. In summary, sustainability permeates every aspect of the project, ensuring a building integrated with its environment and comfortable for its occupants.

The redevelopment of the Nervesa 21 building in Milan is an ambitious project that transforms an existing space into a modern and sustainable environment. Interventions on facades, new volumes, and space reorganization enhance the building for contemporary needs. LEED and WELL certifications demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and well-being. Attention to details, such as glass walls and green areas, reflects a cutting-edge design, creating innovative and welcoming spaces.
