Inspired by Chinese landscape paintings, it incorporates traditional Chinese gardening techniques, such as borrowing outdoor mountain views, placing indoor pools, stacking stones as a metaphor for hills and moss as a garden. In this way, the design cleverly conveys the design thinking of "nature as life, life as design", creating an aesthetic living space that is open, inclusive, collaborative and connected. It also explores the tranquil and secluded atmosphere of Eastern aesthetics by leaving some empty spaces for workers to take a break from their tightly scheduled routines.
The office is located on the 38th and 39th floors, which are at the same level as the surrounding hills. While it boasts natural scenery such as Bijia Mountain and Yinhu Mountain, it also enjoys urban prosperity in a single sweeping view. The area with the best view is reserved for a public observation deck, where employees can relax. The interior ambience is defined by the black and white colour palette. The private tea tasting room, waterscape and other features showcase the reserve, tranquility and seclusion of Eastern aesthetics, stimulating the designers’ inspiration, creativity and imagination. On the lower levels of the office building are bustling shopping malls.
The elevator hall is transformed into a Chinese garden corridor, evoking a sense of mystery leading to the Peach Garden. The lobby on the 38th floor is like an open plaza, inviting sunshine, cloud shadows, rolling hills and the city skyline to become part of the interior. The “border-less library” along the wall houses books on various creative subjects. The JIVANA coffee bar, the starry CHA PU tea lounge, and the QIAO FENG tea room allow each employee to enjoy life, socialize with ease, be alone or quiet their thoughts. The ubiquitous natural rocks and the sound of gurgling water give you the feeling of being in a garden. The materials area showcases innovative, eco-friendly materials from around the world for designers to select and refine. The meeting rooms, whether chic, fresh or modern, act as experimental vessels that spark a variety of inspirations.
Since its opening, the new office has welcomed and received high praise from many fellow designers, design faculty and students, owners and hotel operators. It is an extremely valuable location, with a natural garden-like workspace, tea room, coffee bar, library and other leisure facilities that have turned design into a lifestyle in such as an expensive city center.
