The idea for the Parco del Mare project in Rimini emerged from the city's desire to create a vibrant urban space that would cater to both locals and tourists throughout the year. Recognizing the need for a connection between Rimini and its seafront, the concept was developed around the creation of an expansive urban park spanning approximately 6 km. The park aims to promote culture, nature, wellness, and sports, serving as a versatile space for a variety of activities and events, through careful planning and design.

The Parco del Mare project aims to create a dynamic and cohesive relationship between the city of Rimini and its surrounding landscape. By integrating elements such as greenery, sand dunes, and sinuous ceramic and wooden pavements throughout the promenade, the project enhances the natural beauty of the coastal landscape while providing functional and aesthetic benefits to the urban area. These elements not only serve to beautify the waterfront but also create natural access points to the park, encouraging interaction and engagement with the surrounding environment. Additionally, the incorporation of themes inspired by Rimini's history and culture adds depth and meaning to the project, further enriching the overall experience for visitors.

The Parco del Mare project prioritizes sustainability through various strategies, materials, and technologies. For instance, the combination of green spaces, vegetation, natural materials such as wood, and permeable pavements minimize environmental impact while enhancing the aesthetic and functionality of the promenade. Locally sourced materials are incorporated to reduce carbon footprint, while raingardens are employed to reduce water consumption. The project's commitment to sustainability aligns with New European Bahuhaus principles and best practices and has received the “best pactice” prize at CREATE (Climate REsponses for the AdriaTic rEgion) and Legambiente and Touring Club’s recognition as “Il mare più bello” of Italy.

The Parco del Mare project stands out for its innovative design and cohesive integration of urban and natural elements. Its strengths lie in its ability to promote culture, wellness, and sports while providing a versatile and dynamic space for residents and visitors alike. Key defining characteristics include the incorporation of greenery, dunes, and sinuous pavements, as well as the integration of themes inspired by Rimini's rich history and culture. These elements combine to create an attractive and engaging waterfront experience, enhancing the overall urban landscape and contributing to the city's identity and sense of place.

The public administration expresses immense satisfaction with the Parco del Mare project, emphasizing its innovative design and positive impact on the city of Rimini. They commend the project's focus on sustainability and eco-compatibility, recognizing its potential to serve as a valuable asset for the community. Moreover, the client believes that the Parco del Mare will enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors, providing a dynamic urban space that celebrates Rimini's heritage and
