Horizon new floating bench, breaking the patterns of traditional desks

The design idea is based on the desire to reinterpret the desk object in a new way, to respond to an increasingly demanding market in terms of design. Desks still occupy a large part of the spaces in which we work, grouped together in often repetitive work islands and supported by structural and storage elements that are often visible and aesthetically impactful. Hence the desire to create a different kind of desk, no longer thought of as an object supported and connected to the floor, but as a floating and suspended entity almost impossible to imagine. To bring this vision to life, a glass support structure was the choice: an invisible material, extremely impact-resistant and with very high structural properties, yet at the same time precious and elegant, with a domestic and luxurious feel.

More than ever in this case, the design is inspired by its context.
The office interior 'landscape' lives predominantly in large architectural contexts, characterised by structural and envelope elements with large surfaces and volumes.
It was precisely the desire to make the new collection interact in the best possible way with the host building that led us to emphasise the suspended top, endowing it with an important, unprecedented thickness, obtained by means of a flap of the top itself aimed at housing a slim drawer unit.
An object therefore at the same time solid but light, able to declare its presence and its mass, but at the same time floating and with an essential design, able to take part in the interior design in a magical and discreet way.

The Horizon bench stands out for its bold and innovative design, which breaks the patterns of traditional desks. The glass side support, creates an optical illusion: the desk floats slightly, giving the space an unparalleled elegance. The traditional legs are eliminated and replaced by transparent glass panels, which further contribute to this feeling of lightness and modernity. This unique approach to design makes the Horizon bench a perfect for contemporary and design environments.

Strong Points
Aesthetics: the glass gives a modern and elegant look, which can enhance the visual appeal of the working environment.
Natural light: Glass allows natural light to penetrate deep into the space, promoting a brighter and more pleasant working environment.
Opening: The transparency of the glass creates an atmosphere of opening and transparency, encouraging collaboration and communication between employees.
Perception of space: glass can give the impression that the space is larger and more open, helping to create a less restricted working environment.
Duration: Glass is durable and easy to maintain, which can reduce long-term office maintenance costs.
Flexibility: Glass structures can be configured in different ways to meet the changing needs of users in terms of layout and workspace organization.
Environmental sustainability: Glass is recyclable, which makes it an ecological choice for companies that care about their environmental impact.
Brand identity: Modern and sophisticated office design can enhance a company’s reputation and brand image by attracting talented people and potential customers.
Ease of cleaning: the glass is easy to clean and helps maintain a clean and hygienic working environment.
Versatility: Glass structures can be combined with other materials to create unique and functional designs, meeting a wide variety of office furniture needs.

Horizon immediately stands out as a new soul in the scenario of technical office furniture products, the first and only example of a 'floating desk' on the market today. But that's not all, Horizon was born a desk but became a collection, completed by a constellation of other varied and functional elements to satisfy every working activity, from the most private and concentrated to the most collaborative. The name itself says it all, a first step towards new horizons in office design.
