The idea for Scorpios Bodrum emerged from the vision of creating a luxurious retreat that encapsulates Bodrum's natural beauty and cultural heritage. The concept was developed by GEOMIM through a deep understanding of the local context, aiming to blend traditional architecture with modern luxury. Inspired by the charm of Aegean villages, the project was conceived to reflect local authenticity while incorporating international standards of sophistication. The design process emphasized sustainability, utilizing locally sourced materials and integrating seamlessly with the natural landscape. This approach ensured a harmonious balance between nature, architecture, and human interaction, resulting in an innovative and immersive retreat.

Scorpios Bodrum maintains a profound connection with its surrounding landscape, respecting the natural topography and existing vegetation. Situated on Turkey's Aegean coast, the resort resembles a small village, blending seamlessly with the coastal environment. The design minimizes environmental impact, ensuring that the built environment harmonizes with the natural surroundings. Green roofs, gardens, and water elements are integrated throughout the site, promoting biodiversity and enhancing the sensory experience. Each villa is oriented to provide uninterrupted views of the turquoise waters, creating a fluid interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. This thoughtful integration fosters a sense of tranquility and connection with nature.

Scorpios Bodrum prioritizes sustainability and eco-compatibility through various strategies, materials, and technologies. The project uses locally sourced stones and extensively employs wood for canopies and interior elements, ensuring a natural ambiance. Green roofs and gardens promote biodiversity and provide passive climate control. The project also incorporates recycled water from graywater systems for irrigation, enhancing water efficiency. The design minimizes the heat island effect and integrates with nature, utilizing sustainable construction practices. Whole building life cycle assessments were conducted, resulting in positive outcomes across multiple environmental parameters. The project is a candidate for the LEED Platinum certification by the US Green Building Council.

Scorpios Bodrum is an immersive boutique resort that combines nature, architecture, and human interaction to create a luxurious and sustainable retreat. Situated on Turkey's Aegean coast, the design reflects the essence of Bodrum, resembling a small Aegean village. The project features twelve island villas, a village square, sports cabanas, beach decks, retail areas, a ritual pavilion, and dining facilities. Key strengths include the use of 80 cm thick masonry stone walls inspired by nearby old towns, providing structural integrity and aesthetic authenticity. The extensive use of wood fosters a warm, natural ambiance, while green roofs and gardens blend interior and exterior spaces, promoting biodiversity and passive climate control. The Ritual Space, the heart of the project, offers a serene environment for mindfulness and community activities. Scorpios Bodrum's innovative design harmonizes with the natural landscape, utilizing sustainable materials and practices to create a retreat that respects and enhances its surroundings, making it a candidate for the LEED Platinum certification.

Scorpios Bodrum represents our vision of a luxurious retreat that authentically captures the spirit of Bodrum. A project that aims to create a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. The resort’s thoughtful integration with the natural landscape and its sustainable design are truly remarkable. We are proud of the project's commitment to environmental stewardship and its potential to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
