The idea for the project stemmed from a deep appreciation for the rural landscape and a desire to revitalize traditional architecture in a modern context. Inspired by the rustic charm of the village setting, our team sought to seamlessly integrate the hotel with its natural surroundings while infusing it with contemporary elegance.
Drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment, particularly the picturesque mountain ranges visible in the distance, we conceptualized the hotel's distinctive rooflines to echo the undulating contours of the landscape. This concept evolved through a series of iterations and design charrettes, with each iteration refining and enhancing the original vision.

The project is intricately woven into the fabric of its surrounding landscape, forging a dynamic relationship that celebrates the rural context while offering a modern interpretation of traditional architecture. The hotel's design is a direct response to the natural topography and scenic vistas that envelop the site. The irregular, undulating rooflines mirror the contours of the distant mountain ranges, establishing a visual dialogue between the built environment and the natural world. This harmonious integration with the landscape creates a sense of continuity and belonging, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.
The renovation process prioritized adaptive reuse and preservation of existing structures, reducing the need for new construction and minimizing waste generation. The shape skeleton of the curved surface of the building is transported to the site after the factory CNC cutting, and the designer carefully typeset the engraving diagram, reducing the loss rate of the plate to an astonishing 5%, and greatly reducing the carbon emissions of transportation, reducing the dust pollution generated by on-site cutting, and improving the installation efficiency.
Our project is a transformative rural hotel nestled in the serene outskirts of Beijing. It stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of traditional charm and contemporary elegance, offering guests an immersive experience that celebrates the beauty of nature and the richness of local culture. One of the project's key strengths lies in its innovative approach to architectural renovation. Originally composed of humble rural dwellings, the hotel has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis, breathing new life into its surroundings while preserving the region's cultural heritage. With two courtyards and a captivating street-facing facade, characterized by whimsical, undulating rooflines, the hotel's design captivates from every angle. These unique roof shapes not only redefine the building's silhouette but also establish a profound connection with the distant mountain vistas, seamlessly merging the hotel with its scenic surroundings.
In the front courtyard, ancient stone walls stand testament to the site's history, now intertwined with contemporary structures housing rejuvenating thermal pools. Crafted primarily from limestone, these pools offer guests an immersive experience, enveloping them in the raw beauty of nature.
Inside, the grand lobby unveils a seamless blend of tradition and innovation, with original wooden beams cleverly concealed within tent-like ceiling structures. This ingenious design preserves the space's lofty ambiance while infusing it with a contemporary flair.
"The project surpassed all expectations. Its innovative design seamlessly blends modern luxury with traditional charm. Guests are captivated by the breathtaking surroundings and warm hospitality. We're proud to welcome travelers to experience the magic of our rural oasis."
