The project of Villa P&C aims to completely transform the interior of a property through a deep renovation of the entire structure. The result is a two-level apartment with an extremely contemporary style and modern design. Every detail has been studied to create functional and welcoming spaces, with a refined and avant-garde aesthetic. The use of high quality materials and innovative solutions enhances natural light and the breadth of the environment, offering a unique and comfortable living experience, perfectly in tune with the needs and tastes of customers.
Located on the eastern side of Mount Etna, in the municipality of San Gregorio di Catania, Villa P&C has been designed to allow the owners to enjoy the surrounding landscape, characterized by a lush green, in total privacy. Despite being surrounded by other houses, the architectural intervention has been carefully designed to make those who enter the building have the impression of being in a country house. The layout of the spaces, the use of local vegetation and the design solutions aimed at ensuring privacy create an oasis of tranquility. The villa offers a unique view of Etna and integrates harmoniously with the natural landscape, making the living experience unique and immersive.
The Villa P&C project was carried out with a strong focus on sustainability. An environmentally friendly material was selected for the outdoor flooring. Rainwater collection systems have been implemented to reduce water consumption. The design of the building was imagined according to the local climate to maximize comfort and energy efficiency. Materials with low CO2 emissions were selected during construction, such as high-performance concrete and raw earth bricks. In addition, recycled and recyclable materials were used such as recycled steel and glass and recovered wood. These solutions help create a sustainable, efficient and eco-friendly environment.
Villa P&C has been a challenge with a very precise objective: maximize the spaces and give the impression of amplitude. The structure had potential but it was through a thorough study that the house looks much larger than the square footage. To achieve this goal it has been necessary to intervene both from the structural and interior design point of view. One of the strengths of the project is the strategic use of light, obtained through large windows, skylights and artificial lighting, that is able to highlight the interior. The spaces have been arranged in a functional way, with an open layout that facilitates the flow between the different areas of the house. The furniture, carefully selected, combines modern and minimalistic elements with touches of comfort and cozyness, to ensure an elegant environment.Reconnecting people with nature is one of the objectives of the project, which is part of the sharing of ideas aimed at the concept of productive landscape. Acting on the connections of a better quality of life, Villa P&C combines strategies that leverage the natural and environmental characteristics of indoor architecture, joining forces to realize a sustainable project with zero impact.
Minimalist, contemporary, elegant and decisive. This project embodies a sophisticated combination of fine materials and clean lines. The contrast between dark wood and white surfaces creates a perfect balance between warmth and modernity. Delicate lighting emphasizes open spaces and geometric shapes, while designer furnishings add a touch of timeless sophistication. An example of style and functionality in a harmonious environment.
Studio Anna Polisano was founded in Catania in 2001 and deals with all-round design, both interior, landscape, renovation and construction, facing orders of various kinds: residential, commercial, Ho.re.Ca., retail and design of unique pieces of furniture.
The architect Anna Polisano, head of the studio, employs professionals specialized in different sectors, thus creating an efficient, organized and multidisciplinary team.
The hallmark of the studio is a minimalist architecture, bright, colorful, characterized by the relationship between volumes, strong contrasts of full and empty, determining a linear style that emphasizes the materials, enhanced by light, where space takes on the role of undisputed protagonist. Particular attention is paid to the definition of Studio Concept, in which architecture and interior design become sartorial, concretizing ideas of objects and environments making them explorable through the emotions of living the space and its forms.
