INNOVA ARCHITETTI

The design is based on respecting the existing architecture and harmoniously integrating contemporary elements. The intervention focuses on one wing of the palace, and the solutions adopted include the introduction of independent structural elements that do not damage the existing building. The ground floor will host a flexible event space and a hotel area, while the basement will be dedicated to a private spa and a wine cellar. The spaces have been designed to be flexible and adaptable, promoting better connection and circulation between the areas. Overall, the project aims to create a unique, flexible environment that respects the existing building.

Palazzo Bocchi is an example of flexible reuse of spaces in the history of the Bolognese Renaissance. It has become a dynamic center that hosts art exhibitions and cultural event. The primary objective of this intervention is to create a space of luxury and refinement within a Renaissance architectural context. Firstly, there was the significant constraint of respecting the existing architecture, preserving and enhancing its historical integrity. This meant working within the boundaries and characteristics of the Renaissance space, ensuring that the intervention harmoniously integrated with the existing architecture. Furthermore, particular emphasis was given to the verticality of the vaulted rooms, which had significant heights.

The focus of solutions consisted of introducing autonomous and independent structural steel elements that could contain the required functions. These elements were designed to be harmoniously integrated with the existing building, without creating dependency or permanent modifications. This approach, reversible and sustainable, ensures that, in a future perspective, the intervention can be removed without leaving traces or damaging the historic building, this preserving its authenticity and integrity. Through careful design and selection of materials, furnishings, and architectural details, the aim is to create an environment of luxury and refinement that harmonizes with the style and elegance of the Renaissance context.

The project involves the design of the interior spaces located in Palazzo Bocchi, a historic building in the heart of Bologna.
