The Daikin air conditioner represented by HOTAI Development Co. has maintained a leading position in the market, but with the growth rate of business and incoming and outgoing shipments, the original space gradually became insufficient. Considering the age of the building, a modern design building with new facilities and wider space is bound to be required in order to meet the needs of business partners and customer service ends. At the same time, the client also hopes to create a practical building with both business office and logistics functions through organized architectural planning and design, forming a benchmark building leading the industry. The site is located at an important traffic node and has convenient transportation, facing towards a 30 meters wide road with heavy traffic. Most of the traffic on this road is vehicles. The surrounding buildings are relatively low, and the function is roughly a cluster of small and medium-sized factories. The overall landscape is slightly messy. The site is divided into east end and west end by the central passage. The target of this reconstruction is the factory area on the east side. In response to the growth of supply demand, warehousing needs a lot of space, as well as a logistics circulation with efficiency. Vertical circulations are crucial to keep logistics smooth in the limited base. The central lane on the site is reserved, which can directly face the storage areas on both sides, providing direct access for small trucks to deliver goods. The rear end of the base becomes a turning area for large trucks. The goods in storage can be transported to the upper level for storage by a large elevator nearby. The storage space of the container truck faces the road directly, so that the container truck can enter and unload the goods in the most efficient way without affecting the movement of other vehicles. The small and medium-sized cargo trucks leaving the warehouse will use the central passage as the main access. Temporarily parked are placed at the entrance parking lot, while the parking spaces of the administrative staff are planned in the basement, so that the traffic of different attributes are diverted to avoid mutual interference and strive for maximum efficiency. In order to show the world's top air-conditioning brand image, the Daikin brand image and modern architecture are combined to present a novel commercial functional space. In the shape of the building, the combination of vertical and horizontal building mass responds to the needs of internal use, which clearly presents the aesthetic value of pragmatism, simplicity and grandeur. The horizontal volume faces the main road, which not only provides a human scale but also expresses a sense of fluidity in line with modernity. The horizontal strip-shaped planting trough faces the road, emphasizing the core values of freshness, nature, cleanliness and environmental friendliness. The color of the appearance is used to highlight the corporate identity, and it is expected to meet the leading brand image of Daikin Air Conditioning, which is clean, professional and energy-saving. The space requirements of this case are mainly based on logistics and warehousing space, supplemented by business office and product maintenance space. The response is the relationship between the building volumes. We arrange the complete logistics and storage space in the middle, and the office area is placed in the front, forming a distinctive and logical building volume. Zhangnan Road is a 30 -meter arterial road with high traffic flow. It is uncomfortable and inhuman in terms of street scale and environmental quality. The low-rise commercial office block is placed in the front, which helps to reduce the impact on the scale caused by the huge volume of storage space, so that the building in this case can present a more cordial and welcoming attitude. In addition to providing efficient storage space, this case also hopes to provide a humanized and friendly scale. The business office area directly faces the main road. We use the horizontal planting belt as a buffer zone for noise and air pollution, so that the office space is full of greenery, which is more unique in the factory-based environment, for a fresh and natural scent. In the entrance hall, it is displayed in a two-story open space, so that when visitors enter the interior from the noisy and chaotic environment outside, it provides a rest space for quiet precipitation and parking. The conference room on the second floor can use the entrance hall as a place for crowds to gather and disperse. The upper office space uses floors to separate different departments to increase recognition and avoid mutual interference; the streamlined and dynamic planting grooves are the main feature of the exterior, and they also have a buffer function to isolate noise and air pollution inside the office space. The natural greenery can relax and lift the spirits. The building in this case adopts Daikin air-conditioning high-efficiency energy-saving equipment and fresh air ventilators. In addition, a number of projects that meet the green building indicators, such as setting a friendly and healthy working environment, energy saving and environmental protection and natural symbiosis, are also planned. Solar power generation panels, multi-level planting and greening, water-saving and recycling settings, energy-saving lighting design, and environmentally friendly building materials marked with green building materials...etc, and meet eight of the nine indicators of green building, and thus won the gold level of green building labeling system. The honor of the badge shows HOTAI - Daikin's concept of environmental sustainability. The goal of this project is to design a building with energy-saving and will be environmentally friendly.
