The new Flagship Store Calligaris Group, in the heart of Brera District and on the ground floor of the prestigious nineteenth-century building called Cortile della Seta, is designed by Studio Marco Piva. A new strategic point of reference, the new Flagship Store features the collections designed by Calligaris, Ditre Italia and Luceplan: it hosts meetings and events to offer customers an "immersive" shopping experience that reflects the style and quality of the group. The interior design project’s objective by Studio Marco Piva was to preserve the architectural monumentality of the place, with its almost 5 meter high ceilings, without changing the original layout, but rather by configuring the different work, socialization or discovery. In fact, the concept of the Flagship Store welcomes open, flexible and interconnected spaces: it integrates the three brands, creating scenarios that unify the different environments and ways of living the contemporary home, making Italian design and manufacturing the protagonist and highlighting the wide range of options customization available. The dining, living, sleeping and playing areas are configured in a fluid and dynamic way, collective spaces in which it is possible to create more intimate and reserved areas. Large full-height windows unify the ground floor with the mezzanine: real display windows that extend the interior spaces into the external courtyard, and an invitation to citizens and people passing through Via Solferino. A significant part of the exhibition is its careful chromatic study: the neutral tones in gray scale (from anthracite to silver) declined on the floor and in the coverings, mark the elements of the architecture and emphasize the products design in the different configurations of the environments, designed to change as the periods of the year change or for the presentation of new collections. The selected materials, durable and contemporary, are a combination of ceramics, glass, metals, fabrics and textures with essential and elegant geometries. Spaces for conversation, socializing and sharing - such as the space cinema - are alternate with other areas used as exhibition / interactive and co-working spaces - materioteca and lounge bar - to offer visitors, operators in the sector and store guests, an immersive experience assisted by the supplement of technology, which contributes to enriching and making the path more usable. A meeting hub with the appearance of an urban loft, a place that combines the art of hospitality and domestic intimacy, professionalism and emotion.

Curriculum

Studio Marco Piva is in the creative and multicultural heart of Milan: an academy of sciences more than a design studio, an experimental workshop where different design scales are dealt with methodological rigor, from masterplanning to architecture, from interiors to industrial design. The continuous research on the formal and functional characteristics of spaces, on technologies and materials, developed with great attention to the environment, are the founding elements of the design of the Studio.
Recent developments are the Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Touring Club in Milan and Palazzo Nani in Venice, urban masterplans in China, the Tonino Lamborghini Tower complex in Chengdu, private villas in Beverly Hills, Shanghai, Melbourne, Accra, Dubai and Moscow, Princype and Syre residential complexes in Milan, the recovery of historic buildings in Milan, Venice and Shanghai, as well as the design of products for the most important Italian companies.
