Nanchang is the city of heroes in modern Chinese history, the capital of ancient yuzhanggu county and Hongdu, the cultural capital on the right bank of the Yangtze River, and the climate type furnace city...... So, what color should she be?
Entrusted by Nanchang Planning Bureau, our project team has carried out the urban color planning of Nanchang central city. We have carried on the comprehensive thorough investigation and the scientific quantification analysis to Nanchang city color environment. In the evolution of light environment, natural environment color, human environment color and architectural color, we find and extract the red flame color of hero city, the color charm of blue and white porcelain, the charm of Jiangnan region with thick and light ink, and the blue and green color of landscape environment, and explore the color characteristics of Nanchang city. As a result, the urban color tone of "green clouds and water colors, warm clouds and dots" is extracted for Nanchang City, and an exclusive architectural color system is established.
We have developed a hierarchical and classified urban color planning strategy for Nanchang: in terms of the overall urban color environment, in view of the urban spatial structure and functional attributes, the recommended chromatography is applied to the urban overall spatial environment. At the city meso scale level,, the color environment of the district level is created through the extraction of regional chromatograms, the formulation of zoning color planning guidelines and the guidance of typical types of building colors.
At the micro scale, we use the real-time lighting simulation analysis function of Ecotect technology to simulate the sun track and sunshine intensity in typical seasons of Nanchang. According to the 500 meter distance criterion of the light climate effect, we design the architectural color and purity to adapt to the light climate effect, so as to create the architectural color image in line with the characteristics of light environment for the key urban areas. In the historical district, we use architectural color to strengthen the cultural connotation of the city. For example, in our urban color design scheme, we gradually extend the red color of Teng Wang Ge ancient building group to the old urban area, so that the color of new and old buildings can be organically integrated and gradually transited.
In this project, through the form of urban color technical guidelines, we provide a highly operable working method for the management and implementation of urban color in Nanchang, and provide professional technical support for creating a symbolic urban color environment in Nanchang.
In addition, we have developed building material guidelines that match the recommended color based on the urban color recommended chromatogram, so as to make the implementation of the recommended color spectrum more effective.
Guo Hongyu has a Ph.D. degree in engineering and the postdoctoral research experience in urban design. She is the Urban and Rural Planning Professor of College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Guangzhou University and the director of urban and rural planning and Design Research Center. She is also the Councilor of China Association of City Planning (CACP), the Standing Council Members of CFCA. As project principals, she has led 16 urban color planning projects in more than 13 historic and tourist cities in China. She has won the top prize of the Chinese color industry the "China color" award two times, and twice the "China color" nomination award, and won 9 national, provincial and municipal prizes for excellent urban planning.
