Jinan Greentown Sales Center, from the ancient poetry

This project is located in Jinan in Shandong province, with the capital economic circle in the north, the Yangtze river delta economic circle in the south, the Shandong peninsula in the east and the central China area in the west. Jinan is on the important intersection of the Bohai sea economic zone and Beijing-Shanghai economic axes. Jinan is known as “Spring City” with "72 famous springs". It is also a famous national historical and cultural city with the unique scenery of mountains, springs, lakes, rivers and cities and one of the birthplace of Longshan culture.

Due to the unique geographical location and cultural characteristics of the project, the design process of the project integrates the sinuous feature of the local mountain and use a large number of curves. Based on the fact that the target audience of this project are young people with advanced education and overseas background, the designers choose the classic black and white color with gold embellishment. White is mainly used among them to build the space of young age, vogue and luxury.

The design concept originates from the ancient poetry describing the scenery of Daming Lake in Jinan, from which "lotus" is extracted as the core concept of the design. The designers simplified lotus leaf elements, transformed into geometric figures that can be repeatedly arranged by geometric means, and applied them to the space. The movement streamline of the floor layout symbolizes the lake water, and the sand table area symbolizes the lotus flower. The functional layout echoes the regional culture of Jinan. The sand table area was not well lighted, the designer considers opening an irregular pentagon hole on the ceiling to help lighting. The different position of the sun in one day will give the sand table area constantly changing light and shadow effect, which becomes a highlight of the case. In the aspect of colors, the pink, green and blue that symbolizes lotus are added to the basic black and white color, giving the bouncing color to the space and creating the vigor and fashion sense. The stone, leather, metal and clothes material with metal luster are widely used for furniture selection.

The design for reception area is more complex than that for previous projects, with faux stone walls and marble floors. The hexagonal geometric shapes emulated on the walls symbolizes lotus flowers. The ceiling is decorated with metallic colors elements, light belts and mirrors to add a sense of spatial ritual. The colorful partition on the left uses colored acrylic material similar to lotus color, siding with mirror stainless steel.

The sand table adopts curve shape, and the location map of the project is displayed on the background wall. The carpet with water ripple texture is laid across the negotiation area, where the seat modeled on lotus flower and the bar chair modeled on lotus leaf. The ceiling chandelier is modeled on water ripple and the sofa is modeled on the crescent moon. The overall style is concise and tidy, with some chromatic color as an ornament. The decoration of the children's area is mainly yellow and blue, emphasizing the active feeling of the space.

Compared with the bright space of the hall relatively, the toilet mainly uses brunet color for adornment, forming the contrast of light and dark and building private and quiet atmosphere.

The overall design is mainly inspired by lotus flowers, with relevant elements like lotus leaves, lake water and moon to create a bright, young and fashion space, integrating the unique cultural landscape of Jinan into the space design.
