1. INTRODUCTION
The project was drawn up following the D.D. n ° CE 522/18 prot. CE 28770 dated March 7, 2018, concerning the redevelopment of the green areas of Via Cave di Pietralata and Via Diego Angeli.
The total area of the area is about 3900 square meters while the portion affected by the redevelopment intervention is equal to about 2477.
The lot has a trapezoidal shape and develops longitudinally between two streets, Via delle Cave di Pietralata
and the extension of Via Vincenzo Morello of new construction, built in order to develop the S.D.O., acronym
for Sistema Direzionale Orientale (Eastern Directional System).
The amount available for the intervention is € 398,000, VAT 22% included.

2. INTERVENTION AREA
The area of the project is located in Via delle Cave di Pietralata f / civ. 81, along the northern border of the
"Gabriella Ferri" Cultural Center, currently used as a spontaneous parking area.
The aim of the project is to redevelop the area by making it available and accessible to all people.

3. URBAN CLASSIFICATION
The area is intended for public green areas and is undergoing maintenance at Fifth Service of the Technical Directorate of the Town Hall 4 of Roma Capitale.

4. PROJECT
4.1 THE PROJECT IDEA
The concepts that immediately led the project forward were those linked to the idea of being free in the open air, to the sense of psychophysical well-being that everyone can get in this place and non-confusing leisure.
This well-being derives from the fact that by looking at the nature that surrounds us, the brain is stimulated so as to evoke memories full of happiness that are able to increase positive emotions producing an effect of calm and serenity in people.

For this reason I immediately chose not to include fixed games but wanted to create a series of "environments" with characteristics defined aesthetically and functionally, with no boundaries between them, visually and physically connected environments with each other.
Also the public lighting, as will be described in the next point, has been the object of particular attention by the designer.
The main intention was to create an architecture seen from above, a design that could still be "read" even by those who use the area at ground level.

The project wanted to create a place of aggregation that had at the same time the dimensions of a stage so as to also allow the performance of performances.

The initial idea is a balloon that rises in the air with its lanyard, which slips away between the fingers of a child's hands.
The balloon has been multiplied so as to enrich the functional and aesthetic offer of the garden and so, after considerations of an economic nature and space availability, the squares have become three.
The balloons will each have their own color, chosen to achieve a goal of psychophysical wellbeing.
Later the idea developed further, the balloons could come out of a game box and fly away.
The lines of the balloon squares will be made with a double row of basalt pavements.
"Where can these balloons go?"
For this reason, furnishings were inserted with the form of an indication signal.

The arboreal essences have been chosen to give continuity to the colors of the project therefore, next to each balloon will be placed tree species of the same color of the balloons: ginkgo biloba, red oaks, paulownia tomentosa.

This garden is a horizontal painting, a painting on canvas, a photograph, a still image.

4.1.1 THE COLORS IN THE PROJECT
In any case, the colors used in this garden are as follows: Yellow, red, purple, green, white, brown, blue and black.
The first three colors each cover a balloon, the green is that of the foliage of the trees and grass, the white is that of travertine, pedestrian paths in gravel and urban furniture, the brown is that of the trunks of trees and travertine, blue is that of the sky and black is that of the metal fence.

4.2 THE GARDEN
Materials as natural as possible and latest generation synthetic materials will be used.
In adherence to the area subject to intervention there is already another that will be integrated and connected with that of new construction.
Here there will be three poles for lighting the project green space, of height equal to 10 m and placed at 120 ° one with respect to the other with five projectors each;
The multipurpose area is in the form of a "game box", made of two-tone travertine, the classic "barco" white and the hazelnut.
The games box, has a square plant with 12.00 meters side and has integrated triangular seats.
This space is designed for those who want to have a more private space.
The garden areas are made of synthetic grass lawn.
The concrete balloons are squares and, like all the squares, they are places of aggregation.
Balloons always have reflections because ideally they are shiny, as soon as they are exposed to light, in fact, even a small chink, they reflect it.
To get the result, I designed the chairs with the shape of the typical reflection of a balloon, comparing it to the dimensions of the square, able to accommodate five or six people, to be realized in white travertine.
Finally, the project takes into account a cycle path to be built on the east side of the border.
