Residential complex Jasmine Garden is located in resort town Jūrmala on Jasmine street , 700m form the Baltic sea. About 30 minute drive from Riga, capital city of Latvia. Before construction, the plot of land contained a number of large pine and birch trees. Taking the valuable trees in account during the design process, a decision was made to reduce the potential building volume by 20% and to preserve as much trees as possible, for these to be possible, the surface area is divided into four smaller ones. The solution reduces the scale of the building and allows it to organically fit into the surrounding historical building resort of Jūrmala. Building volumes are made of partially sloping roofs, in various materials and shades. Two volumes are decorated with light and dark gray stone tiles, and the other two with different shades of Siberian larch wood boards. The basement floor and the vaults are located along the perimeter of the plot of land, with the aim to preserve 8 pines. The selected architectural merging elements are roof constructions and balconies with white mesh metal finishes.
Building volumes are made with three floors, which have roof exits, and apartments on the last floor. The building complex underground has 53 underground parking spaces and technical facilities. In total the buildings contains 48 apartments and each of them has a balcony. Upper-floor apartments have stairs on individual roof terraces. The building complex was built in monolithic reinforced concrete, which is exposed in the staircase and stairs. Slabs are post-tensioned 8-10 meters long. All facades are ventilated.
