In this structure, planar Renzokutai spirals forward to form the roof, walls, and floor, realising a “springtecture” of linked discontinuities. “Springtecture Harima” moves forwards by describing arcs; in contrast, this structure is designed repeating the fusion of arc and straight line. The result is an effective planar space with expanded architecture. The branching spaces share their edge elements (interior/exterior, front/back) in a productive chain moving discontinuously from exterior to interior and back to exterior in this realization of an architecture of partially shared elements or Bunyutai.
