Course DescriptionThe course examines a building designed to house a tertiary institution with environments intended to encourage the exchange of ideas. Dealing with this special context, the course investigates an example of contemporary architecture that experiments with new modes of expression, with a close analysis of the qualities of both the internal and external spaces. Through an introductory text, images, and numerous technical and construction detail drawings with explanatory notes, the course provides a comprehensive overview of the project and its use of high-performance technologies and materials, while examining the innovative aspects that characterize the building.

Learning Objectives – after reading the article and studying the drawings, you will be able to:
- Analyze the materials used for the exterior and interior finishes and structure, with an emphasis on innovation.
- Assess the innovative aspects of the project in terms of the construction of forms and pathways to ensure the usability of spaces.
- Examine the use of natural lighting in relation to the ideal lighting conditions for different functions catered for.
- Examine the innovative concept of space behind the design of the building.
