Course DescriptionThe course examines a religious building whose traditional designated uses have been accommodated within a contemporary architecture. Focus is given to the way in which the program succeeds in combining design, materials and innovative forms to deliver a new take on traditional requirements. Course material includes an introductory text, many pictures and sketches as well as technical and construction-detail drawings with legends.

- Explain the design features that deliver the specific functional requirements of a traditional place of worship.
- Explain how the materials used corroborate the project design.
- Explain how the esthetic of a place of worship has been achieved.
