CREDITS: 1.00 LU/HSW

Course Description
The course examines a contemporary architecture project that returns to the traditional forms and materials used down the centuries in Italian architecture. The juxtaposition of brickwork and modern, high-performance materials lends an originality to this essentially traditional housing project near Turin that sets it apart from more conventional residential complexes. Course material includes an introductory text, many pictures, technical drawings and a construction-detail drawing with legend. On completing the course, you will be able to discuss how the project is respectful of its environment, not least in the use of traditional materials such as brick in combination with other materials.
