Course DescriptionThe course looks at the way a contemporary residential building - located in forest-clad hills around a well-known tourist resort near Montreal - can be made to blend effortlessly into its natural setting while at the same time remain a visually impactful architecture. Also examined is how the program has met occupant demands for comfort and liveable spaces but also ensures energy-saving benefits.
Course material includes an introductory text together with technical and construction-detail drawings with legends and many pictures.
On completing the course, you will be able to discuss the many features that have gone into this house designed for contemporary lifestyles yet destined to remain pertinent far into the future. .
